Naaman’s Necessities began with a simple idea: to bring comfort to children going through difficult times.

What started as a desire to donate stuffed animals to kids in need quickly grew into something much bigger. Through conversations with local schools and community members, it became clear that many children and families were lacking not just comfort items, but basic everyday necessities.

That realization sparked a deeper mission.

Before Naaman’s Necessities officially began, a small community effort called “The Sock Drive” helped collect over 4,200 pairs of socks through all 16 local schools. The overwhelming support showed just how powerful a community can be when people come together to help others.

Today, Naaman’s Necessities focuses on providing backpacks filled with essential items for those in need throughout our community. From youth experiencing homelessness or foster care, to families facing financial hardship, our goal is simple:

To help people feel supported, prepared, and cared for.
